In today’s racing world, becoming a star takes more than just on-track performance. Just like the high component braking systems and components offered by StopTech, it takes the full package. Part of that package involves creativity and ability to interact with fans on social media.
With that in mind, Speed51.com has teamed up with StopTech to recognize a “Social Star” each month during the 2019 racing season.
This month, David Gravel scored his first-career Knoxville Nationals win at Knoxville Raceway in the Jason Johnson Racing No.41, three years after the late Johnson took the popular win and yelled the infamous quote “S— I wanted to win!”. The Watertown, CT driver took Johnson’s son Jaxx up top to do the ‘Wing Dance’ with him in victory lane.

Four-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon was on hand to take in the Knoxville Nationals and celebrate with Gravel and Jason Johnson Racing after introducing sponsor Axalta to the team for the event.

For being the talk of social media in all of racing after his Knoxville Nationals win, David Gravel has been named the StopTech Social Media Star of the Month.
