Xenia OH – KilKare Speedway paid tribute to former employee and two time ARCA Champion Lee Raymond. Raymond had served as an official at the speedway for several years after being retired from driving.

The race got to a rough start as a lap six crash involving Jack Jones, Brad Williams, Mike Carroll and Chad Pendelton. Only Pendelton and Jones were able to return. When racing resumed, Greg Stapleton set his sights on the checker flag. Stapleton went on to claim the flag in his Stapleton Machine and Tool open wheeler. Shane Shirk, Pendleton, Mark Timmerman and Jones rounded out the top five. Greg Stapleton set quick time with Zack Stacy and Jim Lewis Jr taking heat checkers.

The late model race was marred by a first lap crash that saw Bill Burba, Ryan Fleming,Tyler Mahaffey, Don Mahaffey and Virgil Powell involved. Mahaffey and Burba both suffered extensive damage. When racing resumed Brandon Oakley in his Oakley Blacktop sponsored ride set sail to the checker. Arlis Williams, Bobby Justus, Cody Robinson and Rob Jacks. Tyler Mahaffey and Rob Jacks were heat winners. Oakley was fast qualifier.

In compact action Bill Honious powered his Honda to victory in the feature. Nick Barrett , Amber Holley, Jim McElfresh and Mike Brewer filled out the top five. Barrett and Brewer won heats, Honious set fast time.

The street stock main was shortened to 14 laps by the curfew rule. Jamie Sites was in front when the curfew time arrived. Sites picked up the win in his Sites Motorsports Camaro. Josh Longstreth, Jim Lewis Jr, Bo Hoelscher and David Stump rounded out the top five. Stump and Longstreth were heat winners, Hoelscher was fast qualifier.

This Friday (6/13) KilKare will host a full program of NASCAR Whelen Racing All American Racing Series. The late models, street stocks, modifieds and compacts will be in action along with the USAC Honda HPD Series.
