PFC Brakes will launch their #SponsorMePFC20 campaign on Friday at the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis. Now in its fifth year, the program has included drivers like Cole Butcher, Justin Bonsignore, Tyler Roahrig and Stewart Friesen, and in 2020 it is expected to be bigger than ever.
NASCAR and Short Track Sales Manager Chris Dilbeck talked to Speed51 about the popular program, which includes short track racing on both asphalt and dirt. With the highest turnout the program has seen one year ago, he is expecting more of the same.
“We’re pumped about the #SponsorMePFC2020, last year, whenever we launched the 2019 program you couldn’t even see the carpet in the booth there were so many people here. Hoping this year is going to be just as big, if not bigger,” Dilbeck told Speed51.com. “We’re also going to announce our top performer of 2019 for our Sponsor Me drivers. Hopefully we’ll have a good turnout, I’m sure it’s going to be a busy weekend.”
The process of choosing the 10 drivers that will represent Team PFC will be a little different than from years past. But as Dilbeck explains, the importance of a social media presence will remain the same.
“This year’s going to be a little different. This year, we’re going to choose the top 51 from social media that share the most unique content, share the hashtag the most, and really put in the most effort on social media,” he explained. “We’re going to knock it off at 51 and then our panel of short track experts are going to sit down, fight it out, and decide who we think is going to be the best fit for the program and pick our top ten.”
To sign up for the program, drivers must fill out the entry form at www.pfcbrakes.com after the live announcement. Applicants must also share the pinned #SponsorMePFC20 post on the Performance Friction Brakes Facebook page. Applicants must make the post public so PFC can see that it was shared.
Same with years past, applicants must create unique content on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #SponsorMePFC20.
Registration for Sponsor Me PFC 20 will begin Friday at noon eastern with a live announcement from PRI Booth #4123, which will be broadcasted live on Speed51. The closing date will be on January 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
The top 51 applicants will be announced live on an episode of The Morning Bullring that Monday morning, January 13. Just one week later, the ten drivers that will take part in the program will be announced live on the show.
Each of the 10 winners will receive trackside support, full social media coverage, PFC gear, and $1,500 to go toward PFC products.
