Speed51’s Short Track America Returns to MAVTV On Wednesdays

After a successful first season, Speed51’s Short Track America is set to return to MAVTV on Wednesday, May 1 for its second season of action-packed short track racing from across the United States.

Once again in 2019, Short Track America will be televised Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET.

The second season of Short Track America will include a wide variety of racing, from asphalt Street Stocks and dirt Outlaw Karts to the bright lights of Bristol Motor Speedway and the FASTRAK World Championship.

“Being able to take part in Short Track America with MAVTV has been such an incredible and rewarding venture,” said Speed51’s Mark Keeler.  “It allows us to showcase many different forms of short track racing and shine a national spotlight on some of the unsung heroes that are the backbone of our sport.”

The second season will begin with the Pro Late Models of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, as they tackle Crisp Motorsports Park (GA) for the SpeedFest Pro Late Model 125.  The ARCA/CRA Super Series-sanctioned Super Late Model 200-lapper at SpeedFest will also air as part of the series.

May’s Short Track America programming schedule also includes the Dirt Late Models of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series going to “The Place Your Mama Warned You About,” Cherokee Speedway, for March Madness, as well as the first race of the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series for Super Late Models at Five Flags Speedway (FL).

The next three broadcasts will all feature three very different forms of racing.  The asphalt Super Late Models return to Short Track America with the North-South Super Late Model Challenge at historic Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville (TN), a tri-sanctioned event with the ARCA/CRA Super Series, CARS Super Late Model Tour and Southern Super Series.

Then, Short Track America heads south to Lake View Motor Speedway (SC) for the Road to the Beach 50, featuring the UMP Modifieds of the Dirt Cup Challenge at the 4/10-mile oval.

Don’t pull into the car wash yet, as Short Track America will stay on the dirt for the Speed51 Open in its next broadcast.  The Outlaw Kart event at Millbridge Speedway (NC) pays $5,151 to win, with a chance at an extra $25,000 if the winner successfully completes the Back Row Bonus challenge.

From the small dirt oval in Salisbury, North Carolina, Short Track America will go to one of the biggest and baddest short tracks in the land, the Last Great Colosseum, Bristol Motor Speedway (TN).  The Super Late Model feature of the Short Track U.S. Nationals will hit the airwaves, as the lightning-fast Late Models will zip around Bristol’s high banks.

Super Late Models star in two of the next three Track America races, as the show will return to Five Flags Speedway for rounds two and three of the Blizzard Series to continue the Road to the 52ndAnnual Snowball Derby.

In between those two events, Short Track America goes back to Nichols, South Carolina and Lake View Motor Speedway.  This time, it will be for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series for the Glory Days 50.

The next scheduled Short Track America race promises to be an exciting one, as the Super Late Models storm into Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) for the Speed51 Super Select, a winner-takes-all, no-holds-barred invitation-only event for the best racers in Super Late Models.

As the season wraps up, the intensity on the race track only intensifies.  The next event will be the FASTRAK World Championship at Virginia Motor Speedway, paying $50,000 to win for Dirt Late Model racers.

Next, it’s a pair of season finales at Five Flags Speedway, as the Allen Turner Pro Late Models and Blizzard Series Super Late Models both crown their 2019 champions in their final races in Pensacola before the Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100.

After the first dirt race of Short Track America’s second season took place at Cherokee Speedway, the series returns to South Carolina for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series’ Blue-Gray 100.

Short Track America makes one more appearance at Five Flags Speedway in season two, and it is a big one, as the Snowflake 100 will culminate the Pro Late Model season featuring some of the best Late Model racers in America.

Lastly, Short Track America concludes with another trip to South Carolina, this time to Dillon Motor Speedway.  There, MAVTV will show the New Year’s BASH for the Mid-Atlantic Street Stock Championship, as some of the best grassroots racers in the Carolinas compete in their biggest race of the year.
