Speed51’s Short Track America, a 12-race program highlighting short track racing throughout America, will debut Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET on MAVTV. The opening race of the Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series at Five Flags Speedway (FL) will be in the spotlight as the Southeast’s top Super Late Model racers battle on the “Road to the 51st Annual Snowball Derby.”
“We are excited to bring the action of the Blizzard Series to a national television audience via MAVTV,” said Five Flags Speedway Promoter Tim Bryant. “It’s a tremendous opportunity for us to showcase the talented drivers and teams that comprise the series, and as icing on the cake, we’re able to expose Five Flags Speedway and the Snowball Derby as well.”
The opening round of the Blizzard Series season featured plenty of drama on and off the race track, including a well-publicized confrontation between Southern Super Series racers Donnie Wilson and Stephen Nasse. The one-hour broadcast on MAVTV will showcase all of the action with multiple camera angles, in-car cameras and exclusive interviews.
Speed51.com’s Bob Dillner will be joined in the booth by Alan Dietz to call all of the action, with Casey LaJoie bringing race fans the biggest stories from pit road.
Fans who miss the initial airing of Speed51’s Short Track America will be able to catch a second airing of the race at 10 p.m. ET Wednesday night. The race is also scheduled to be archived on Lucas Oil Racing TV at a later date.
MAVTV, a television network with its roots deep in the automotive world, is available through a variety of nationwide providers including AT&T U-verse, DIRECTV, fios by Verizon, Spectrum and Fubo TV.
