Pensacola, FL - The Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco began its 2017 season this weekend with the Rattler 250 from South Alabama Speedway live on Speed51.com. This weekend’s race was the first of many Southern Super Series events to air live for viewers all around the globe this season.
Southern Super Series promoter Tim Bryant announced at Saturday’s driver’s meeting at South Alabama Speedway that all stand-alone Southern Super Series events will be live streamed on Speed51 TV on Speed51.com powered by JEGS. In fact, at this time, 11 of the 12 total SSS races are scheduled to be televised in 2017.
“Our objective on putting this together is to help the drivers, teams and sponsors. We believe the online video broadcasts will give them the opportunity to enhance their exposure on many levels by racing with us,” said Tim Bryant, promoter of the Southern Super Series. “There’s nothing like the experience at being at one of our races, but this helps us and our competitors reach a larger audience and also helps those that cannot make it to the particular event to be able to watch all the great racing action.”
Each race will air in a variety of single camera and multi-camera broadcasts. Each event, that is pay-per-view in nature, will have its viewing cost be the same price as the cost of a ticket at each race track.
“Nothing matches the high-horsepower feel of the at-track experience of the Southern Super Series, but we also realize that not everyone can make it to each event. Yet, people still want to be part of it and this allows fans and even the families and supporters of the teams to accomplish that,” said Bob Dillner, CEO of Speed51.com. “By doing this, through what Speed51 offers, the series and teams will be able to reach a larger audience, which will help attract sponsors and increase the popularity of the series.”
The enhanced partnership between the Southern Super Series and Speed51.com via the Speed51 TV live video streams give each race team a chance to be exposed to new potential audiences and sponsors who may be looking to put their backing behind a team.
The 12-race Southern Super Series schedule has three co-sanctioned races at the Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville (TN) with the ARCA / CRA Super Series, Bristol Motor Speedway (TN) for the US Nationals of Short Track Racing and at Anderson Motor Speedway (SC) with the CARS Tour. The race at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville will be televised on Speed51.com. The event at Anderson Motor Speedway will be streamed live on CarsTour.TV.
Speed51.com will also carry live Trackside Now coverage from all 12 Southern Super Series events. Trackside Now is a professional, journalistic live-blog featuring photos and lap-by-lap text updates. Speed51.com will also have video highlights from all 12 events on the Speed51 Network powered by JEGS.
