Speed51.TV to Broadcast 2021 Slinger Nationals

CONCORD, NC — Wisconsin’s most prestigious Super Late Model race will be broadcast to a national audience this summer.  Slinger Super Speedway and Speed51 announced Friday an agreement to broadcast the 42nd Annual Slinger Nationals on July 6 as a live pay-per-view production on Speed51.TV.

Speed51.TV will broadcast the 42nd Annual Slinger Nationals on July 6.

“I am looking forward to not just the biggest races of the season at Slinger Speedway, the biggest week ever at Slinger Speedway,” said Todd Thelen, Owner/Promoter of Slinger Speedway.  “From the Prelude to the Nationals July 4th, to the Supply Zone Nationals July 6th, to the Camping World SRX Series July 10th we have never had so much excitement and star power packed into one week.”

We are excited to once again partner with an event that has as much prestige as the Slinger Nationals,” said Emily McCarty, Speed51 General Manager. “This is one of, if not the biggest, short track races in the Upper Midwest region. We’re looking forward to bringing the exciting action to race fans across North America on Speed51.TV.

Each year, the 200-lap race attracts the best Super Late Model drivers from the Midwest, as well as out-of-town invaders looking to capture a signature win in the Slinger Nationals.

Former race winners include NASCAR Cup Series champions Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch and Alan Kulwicki, as well as short track aces such as Bubba Pollard, Rich Bickle, Dick Trickle and Butch Miller.  Wisconsin native Ty Majeski, one of the top Late Model drivers in the country, is the defending winner of the race.

Adding to the hype of this year’s Slinger Nationals is the opportunity for the race winner to compete in the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) event at Slinger on July 10.  The winner of the race will have the chance to compete against an all-star lineup that includes Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves, as well as former NASCAR Cup Series champions Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte and Bill Elliott.

Along with the prestige of becoming a Slinger Nationals champion, this year’s winner will have the opportunity to compete in the Camping World SRX Series when they visit Slinger on July 10.

The live broadcast of the Slinger Nationals on Tuesday, July 6 will feature all qualifying rounds for the race, as well as all feature races leading into the 200-lap main event.

In addition to live race day coverage, Speed51.TV will also be at the track for practice day on Monday, July 5 to provide behind-the-scenes content and updates.

More information on the pay-per-view broadcast, including how to purchase the race, will be available soon.
