Speed51 to Stream RoC Modifieds Live From Lake Erie

The Race of Champions (RoC) Asphalt Modified Series season is in full motion, with plenty of action and storylines in the first two races of 2019. Now the RoC tour is heading to Pennsylvania and Lake Erie Speedway for the first time this season, and for the first time in 2019, race fans unable to attend in person will be able to watch the RoC Mods live on Speed51.

This Saturday, June 15, the series’ third round of the year pits the RoC stars against each other at the same 3/8-mile oval that has become home to the long running Race of Champions 250 in the fall. But this weekend is all about sprint racing as the Lake Erie Speedway Night at the Races will see the Modifieds clash over an intense 75-lap distance.

For the past two years Matt Hirschman has been the driver in control at Erie, winning the last four races on this ultra-competitive circuit. That has left a field of accomplished drivers feeling hungrier than ever for victory on the North East, PA oval.

Andy Jankowiak and Patrick Emerling have won the first two races of the season, while Mike Leaty leads the championship standings. They along with drivers like Eric Beers, Daryl Lewis Jr., Tyler Rypkema, and defending RoC Series champion Chuck Hossfeld, are all poised to strike a victory on Saturday night.

The ‘Mod Squad’ will have good company, as the RoC Four-Cylinder Dash Series and RoC TQ Midget Series will be in competition for 20 and 25 laps respectively.

Fans in attendance and watching here on Speed51 will also be in for another powerful treat, as the Must See Racing Winged Sprint Cars will clash for 40 of the fastest and most intense green flag laps of the night.

The live broadcast gets underway at approximately 7 p.m. ET with all feature races being aired on the Speed51 Network.  Premium subscribers, both monthly and yearly, will be able to watch the live broadcast.
