For eight of nine nights of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) FansChoice.TV will broadcast all the action. It is the second-straight year that fans all over the world will be able to see Modifieds, Late Models and more compete on the half-mile oval during Florida Speedweeks. It’s also the second-consecutive year that Speed51.com is producing the broadcast for FansChoiceTV.
It all begins on Friday, February 12 and continues through Saturday, February 20. The only night not on the streaming docket is Sunday, February 14 when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competes at New Smyrna Speedway. That race will be broadcast on NBCSN at a later date. On each of the eight other race nights the Speed51.com team will be working diligently on the online TV-style broadcast, which begins at 7:30pm.
“Florida Speedweeks is one of my favorite times of the year and everyone at 51 is proud to be able to work with FansChoice.TV to put this online broadcast on for the fans that have family or work obligations and cannot make it to watch all the racing at New Smyrna Speedway,” said Bob Dillner, Executive Editor of Speed51.com powered by JEGS.
One year ago, 51 provided the same style of services in a partnership with FansChoice.TV and NASCAR Home Tracks. The response from race fans was astonishing; many praised the production quality and overall appearance of the free broadcast.
That broadcast will return in 2016, but now with HD video quality as well as other cool features such as a live scoring ticker and new broadcast-style graphics package. While there’s nothing like being at the track for the excitement of Speedweeks, those unable to make their way to New Smyrna Beach, Florida will be able to enjoy the next best thing.
“It’s like the bears are coming out of hibernation,” Dillner said with a smile. “The race fans have been waiting for the sport to erupt after a couple months off and if they can’t make it to Florida, they can now watch it on FansChoice.TV.”
FansChoice.TV, in conjunction with Speed51.com, will begin eight nights of live broadcasts on Friday, February 12 when the Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, FL IMCA-style Modifieds and Sportsman kick off the 50th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. From that point on, live broadcasts will be available for all eight nights of regular racing action excluding the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Sunday, February 14.
Big events such as the John Blewett III Memorial and Richie Evans Memorial for the Tour-Type Modifieds, as well as the 100-lap Super Late Model finale, can also be seen live on FansChoice.TV powered by Speed51.com.
