While much of the country is still blanketed by a layer of snow, racing season is fully underway. For the first time since the calendar flipped to 2015, there is racing in multiple parts of America, and Speed51.com powered by JEGS will be there to cover it all.
Speed51.com will have live coverage from four different events on Saturday, headlined by our Trackside Now coverage of the inaugural Winter Showdown on Saturday evening from Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, California.
Trackside Now will be live on Saturday morning from the high banks of Kern County as some of the top Late Model racers battle for $25,000 in the Winter Showdown, along with the Lucas Oil Modifieds beginning at noon ET.
51 will also be represented at Maine Indoor Karting to bring Trackside Now coverage of the seventh DT 100 charity go-kart event. Drivers from all walks of racing like Burt Myers, Andy Seuss, Eddie MacDonald and Wayne Helliwell, Jr. will do battle in go-karts all to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Race fans can also follow @Speed51dotcom on Twitter presented by AP Brakes to keep up with the Super Late Model 100-lap season opener from Auburndale Speedway (FL) and Pro Late Model action at Desoto Speedway (FL) Saturday. The live coverage on Twitter kicks off with updates from the USAC non-winged Sprint Cars at East Bay (FL).
In addition to the live Trackside Now coverage and at-track updates on the @Speed51dotcom Twitter feed, be sure to “Like” Speed51.com and follow Speed51dotcom on Instagram for even more behind-the-scenes photos and information from tracks throughout the country in action this weekend.
