Speed51 is excited to host a new Super Late Model sim racing series, featuring a select group of real-world Late Model racers competing on iRacing.
The Speed51 Super Select Series will be a 10-race series, starting with this weekend’s eRattler 250 presented by PFC Brakes at the virtual Lanier Raceplex. The series will consist of real-world Late Model racers, but each event will have a chance for sim racers to join the excitement.
Like with this weekend’s Baby Rattler, there will be an open race at each Speed51 Super Select Series event, offering the chance for others to qualify for the main event.
There will be a point fund for competing drivers rewarding them for their participation. PFC Brakes is contributing to the point fund, along with joining as the presenting sponsor of the season-opening Rattler 250 sim race.
Races will take place on Saturdays until real-life racing resumes. When that occurs, the series will move to a weekday until its completion.
A schedule for the remainder of the Speed51 Super Select Series, along with point fund and more information, will be announced next week.
The season-opening eRattler 250 presented by PFC Brakes already boasts a star-studded field, featuring the likes of Travis Braden, Josh Brock, Giovanni Bromante, Matt Craig, Corey Heim, Derek Kraus, Stephen Nasse, Connor Okrzesik and Chandler Smith. It will be an opportunity for racers across the country to compete on the same virtual race track for bragging rights as well as the first Speed51 Super Select Series win.
The Speed51 Super Select Series is currently looking for more companies to be involved. Money received will go towards a point fund for the drivers. Companies interested in sponsoring a portion of the series should email [email protected].
