Racing at Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on Easter weekend has become a cherished tradition for Pro All Stars Series racers and fans. The Easter Bunny 150, known as one of the most prestigious PASS events, draws a talented field of Super Late Model racers from both the north and south each year.
For the second straight year, fans worldwide will be able to watch those short track racing stars and witness the Easter Bunny 150 tradition live on Saturday, March 26.
Speed51 TV, the live online video streaming network on Speed51.com, will air all of the race day action from the historic North Carolina short track on March 26. Headlining festivities will be the PASS National Super Late Model championship event. This race will see the stars of PASS North go up against the stars of PASS South, as well as other Super Late Model racers from around the country.
The live video coverage on Speed51.com will also feature the exciting ground-pounding Tour-Type Modifieds of the Southern Modified Racing Series.
“Since the first Easter Bunny 150 was held at Hickory in 2006, this event has grown to become one of the most coveted in Super Late Model racing,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “With drivers from across the United States and Canada expected just to try and qualify, PASS is glad to partner again with Speed51 and provide coverage to racing fans all over the world. The addition of the new Southern Modified Racing Series only enhances the Easter Bunny weekend and we hope everyone can join in and enjoy.”
Speed51 TV will utilize a single-camera broadcast featuring the voice of the Pro All Stars Series, Alan Dietz, for this event. The broadcast will gave race fans who can’t make it to Hickory, North Carolina the chance to watch the excitement of the Easter Bunny 150.
“I’ve been to every edition of this awesome race since its inception and it only gets better and better each year,” said Matt Kentfield, Speed51.com Executive Director. “I was proud that we were able to bring the action to a whole new audience with our live video broadcast last year and I can’t wait for even more folks to witness the excitement on Speed51 TV this time around. It’s a can’t-miss event in person, but I know there’s plenty of Super Late Model and Modified fans across the country and beyond who can’t make it to Hickory that will be tuning in for this incredible short track spectacle.”
Fans can purchase the live broadcast today for just $24.99 by clicking here. More information on the live pay-per-view broadcast of the Easter Bunny 150 will be announced in the coming weeks.
As of March 14, the entry list for the Easter Bunny 150 already includes an impressive list of 25 drivers. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie Christopher Bell, defending PASS North champion Mike Rowe, defending PASS South champion Tate Fogleman and 2015 ACT champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. are just some of the big names entered thus far.
Easter Bunny 150 weekend kicks off at Hickory Motor Speedway on Friday, March 25 with a full day of practice for the PASS Super Late Models, Southern Modified Racing Series and South East Mini Stock Tour.
With the 51 TV camera live on Saturday, March 26, qualifying will take place for all three divisions prior to the Super Late Model last chance race. The South East Mini Stock Tour will hold their first feature race of the season before a full field of PASS Super Late Models battle in the Easter Bunny 150.
Following the Easter Bunny 150, the inaugural Southern Modified Racing Series Easter Bunny 125 will get underway as the Tour-Type Modiifeds pound the pavement at Hickory.
