Speed51 to Broadcast Racing’s Return to Millbridge

This week, Millbridge Speedway will roar back to life with two nights of racing at the 1/6-mile clay oval. While restrictions in place during the COVID-19 pandemic will limit the number of people on the grounds on both Wednesday and Thursday night, May 13-14, fans will be able to watch the racing live on Speed51.

Speed51 will provide a live broadcast of both nights of racing at the Salisbury, North Carolina facility, with five divisions of racing over the two evenings.  The stream will be available for free to Speed51 monthly and yearly subscribers.

“We can’t wait until we are able to pack the grandstands at Millbridge Speedway with race fans,” said Millbridge Speedway co-owner Ashly Burnett.  “However, we are excited to go back racing and the opportunity to share that racing with our fans on Speed51.”

Beginner Box Stocks and Box Stocks will compete on the opening night of action.  Briggs Racing has stepped up to sponsor Wednesday’s evening of racing, granting those teams free entry for the event.

On Thursday night, the Open and Intermediate Outlaw Karts will hit the track, along with the Winged 600 Micro Sprints.  After the successful TRD Micro Showdown last fall, Micro Sprints are joining the regular offering of racing at Millbridge in 2020.

For Thursday’s event, Sawyer Chassis is sponsoring the Winged 600 Micro Sprint feature.  Thanks to their support, the race will pay $500 to the winner.

Both nights will be available on Speed51, free for Speed51 monthly or yearly subscribers.  Click here to become a subscriber today and enjoy this week’s racing as well as many other on-demand videos and upcoming race broadcasts as competition resumes.
