The Speed51 Super Select at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) promises to be an exciting, star-studded event, with the biggest names in Super Late Model racing receiving invitations to the Winner-Take-All $10,000 showdown. Entry forms are now available for competitors invited or looking to race their way into the all-star race.
Currently, 25 drivers have received invitations to the inaugural event, on the basis of winning Super Late Model races around North America. More invitations are expected in the coming days before the September 7 running of the Speed51 Super Select. Drivers invited to the “Select Team” will receive free entry and one free set of tires for the event.
While many of the marquee names in short track racing are locked in to the 75-lap feature as part of their invitations, there will still be an opportunity for other drivers to race their way into the Super Select field through the Speed51 Super Select Open. Anyone can enter “The Open,” which will be contested over 50 laps prior to the Speed51 Super Select.
A minimum of two drivers and maximum of four drivers will transfer to the Speed51 Super Select from “The Open.” The number of transferred drivers will depend on the amount of entries for the qualifying race and the amount of “Select Team” drivers who accept their invitations prior to the event.
The entry form also outlines information on the segments of the 75-lap Super Select, as well as some of the contingency awards up for grabs in the event. More detailed information regarding the format and schedule as well as even more contingency awards will be announced in the days to come. The race format and length is tentative and subject to change.

The Speed51 Super Select will be hosted by Track Enterprises and sanctioned by the Champion Racing Association (CRA). In addition to the 75-lap feature and 50-lap qualifying race for the Super Late Models and the USAC Silver Crown Series will be on hand for the 100-lap Rich Vogler Classic.
A variety of advertising and sponsorship opportunities are currently available for the Speed51 Super Select. Companies are encouraged to email Bob Dillner at [email protected] and/or Adam Mackey at [email protected] for more information regarding advertising with the Speed51 Super Select.
