One of the proud, historic venues of dirt track racing in the Carolinas will be shared with the world this year.  Lake View Motor Speedway and Speed51 have reached an agreement to make Speed51 the “Official Video Home of Lake View Motor Speedway.”

The Speed51 Network will have video coverage of many events at the Lake View, South Carolina race track in 2019.  There will be on-demand highlights from all divisions at the 0.400-mile semi-banked oval, as well as select live broadcasts from the speedway in 2019.

Race fans will be able to subscribe to the Speed51 Network for $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year to watch all of the video content from the South Carolina dirt track.

Lake View Motor Speedway was built in a corn field in 1979 between Lake View and Nichols, South Carolina.  It grew to become one of the most well-known race tracks in the Carolinas during the 1980s.

Now, owners Scott and Sophie Tripp are breathing new life into the facility, looking to return Lake View to its former prominence since taking ownership in February 2018.  The Tripps are excited to have their grassroots facility shared on a national level.

“We’re a little grassroots dirt track in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by corn fields and soybean fields,” said Scott Tripp.  “This gives us some national exposure to showcase our speedway and our facility to other markets.  The hope for us is to have other people in other parts of the country that haven’t driven to our speedway be able to see it and say ‘Hey, I’d like to go to that track some day.'”

Along with extensive video coverage from Lake View Motor Speedway, plans also call for Speed51 to create many original stories about the races and the players involved, as well as its traditional Trackside Now and Race Day Now coverages of events, which is free to all who visit the site.

“We are very excited for this partnership and relationship with Lake View Motor Speedway,” said Zach Evans, Southeast Editor for Speed51.  “As always, we strive towards increasing exposure for tracks, series, racers across all of short track racing.  We also strongly believe in what the staff at Lake View Motor Speedway are building there and consider it a true great American success story.”

Further announcements regarding the partnership will be made at a later date.  Stay tuned to Speed51 for more information.
