Those watching the 50th Annual Snowball Derby live on will see a variety of faces and hear from a variety of voices throughout the race week.  On Monday, revealed the broadcast team for the prestigious short track event held at Five Flags Speedway.


Leading the way once again this year will be the same duo that race fans have seen and heard on throughout the years at the Snowball Derby.  The same voices that brought you Erik Jones’ first win over Kyle Busch, as well as the thrilling finish with Christian Eckes and John Hunter Nemechek one year ago. Executive Editor and veteran motorsports broadcaster Bob Dillner will be joined by longtime announcer Adam Mackey in the booth for a two-hour pre-race show and all 300 laps of racing in Pensacola, FL on Sunday, December 3.


300x250 Snowball Derby PPV“The Snowball Derby is an event I look forward to covering each year,” Dillner said.  “We have a great team assembled for this year’s live Snowball Derby broadcast and that makes me even more excited for my favorite event of the year. From the talent in the booth to our JOES Racing Products pit reporters on pit road, I think that the passion we have for the event will shine through on the live broadcast.”


Dillner and Mackey will be joined throughout the program by’s resident “Stat Boy” Elgin Traylor, who will bring a wealth of Snowball Derby knowledge and statistics to the program.


While Dillner, Mackey and Traylor are keeping you entertained from the booth, they’ll be joined by a trio of JOES Racing Products pit reporters throughout the show.  Casey LaJoie, Jana Wimmer and Alan Dietz all return to the broadcast team to bring you up close and personal with what’s going on in the pit area.


Dillner, Mackey, LaJoie and Wimmer will also make up the team for Snowball Derby qualifying night on Friday.


On Saturday night, Dietz will jump into the booth for the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 and will be joined by his partner from one year ago, Jeremy Anders from the State of Washington. Regional Editor Connor Sullivan will also be involved in the Snowflake 100 broadcasts throughout the week as he makes his debut on Speed51 TV.  Mark Keeler, who normally is the man behind the keys making the broadcasts happen, will also be involved throughout the Snowflake 100 show.


Anders and Sullivan will team up to be on the call during Pro Late Model practice and qualifying sessions leading into the big race. Bringing race fans the latest from the Pro Late Model pit area throughout the week will be LaJoie and Southeast Editor Rob Blount. Editor Brandon Paul will also step into the booth for Snowball Derby practice on Thursday while Bob Dillner hosts the first Super Late Model practice from pit road.


In addition to his duties in the booth on Snowball Derby Sunday, Elgin Traylor will serve as the pit road reporter for the Sportsmen, Outlaw Stocks and Modified features.  Casey LaJoie will carry the torch on pit road during Saturday’s Pro Truck feature race. These races will all carry the play-by-play call from Five Flags Speedway announcers Robbie Harvey and Bill Roth.


In all, 10 different voices will be heard during the 50th Annual Snowball Derby broadcast. That’s a variety that race fans should enjoy.
