Picking the winners of big short track races throughout the country is a tradition that our staff at Speed51.com has enjoyed for many years. This week, we head to the West Coast to pick the winner of a big race being held in Sin City.

We asked members of our Speed51.com team, "Who are you picking to win the $10,000-to-win SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series finale at The Bullring at LVMS?"

The answers we received varied, but when all the votes were tallied it was Jeremy Doss (12 votes) who was named the favorite to win the big race.  Overall, six different drivers received votes from our panel of 18 experts.

Check out our full list of staff picks for the SRL finale at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway below.

Aaron Creed, Speed51.com National Correspondent

Pick: Jeremy Doss

The dream season toward the Californian's first SRL championship will continue in winning fashion. Doss has not been victorious in a tour race since early May, but that win came at this same facility.

Adam Mackey, Speed51.com Correspondent

Pick: Jeremy Doss

Jeremy Doss won at The Bullring back in May and with his point lead and recent results, I see no reason why he shouldn't be the favorite this weekend.

Bob Dillner, Speed51.com Executive Editor

Pick: Jeff Bischofberger

He's the teammate of the hottest driver at Vegas, Jeremy Doss, so I expect him to be battling at the front with his JD Motorsports teammate.

Brandon Paul, Speed51.com Editor

Pick: Austin Herzog

Everything leading into this race makes me believe that Jeremy Doss will be in victory lane, so instead of picking the favorite I'm going to go with one of the West Coast's rising stars. Austin Herzog has started making a name for himself during the second half of the year, and I think he has what it takes to score his biggest win yet. He set fast time in qualifying for the Fall Classic at LVMS just a few weeks ago and followed that up by finishing sixth in his SRL debut at Kern County. Keep an eye on this kid.

Connor Sullivan, Speed51.com Northeast Editor

Pick: Jacob Gomes

The man from Manteca is a former SRL event winner at the Vegas Bullring in 2011. Plus, he is one of the most recent winners on the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series, that win coming at Madera Speedway in September. Gomes is one of the few that can challenge the likes of Jeremy Doss and I think this is may be the weekend he gets the job done.

Dakota Geyer, Speed51.com State Editor (IN & MI)

Pick: Jeremy Doss

Doss won this race, as well as the Fall Classic last month. He will pick up another win at the Bullring and build momentum towards the 51st Annual Snowball Derby.

Pick: Eric Schmidt

Going into the SRL Finale at Vegas, Eric Schmidt sits second in the 2018 point standings and is the only contender to Jeremy Doss. Since Doss will likely be the favorite for this one, I’m picking Schmidt to spoil the party.

Duane Canfield, Speed51.com / MoJo Photos

Pick: Jeremy Doss

This should be the popular pick. Does has proved time and time again that he is the guy to beat out west. This will be a good tune up for the Snowball Derby for him.

Elgin Traylor, Speed51.com Southeast Correspondent

Pick: Jeremy Doss

Doss could use the $10,000 to help his Snowball Derby effort in a few weeks, and he'll get it this weekend.

Evan Canfield, Speed51.com / MoJo Photos

Pick: Jeremy Doss

Jeremy Doss is the man when it comes to Super Late Models on the West Coast. Although it's going to be the popular vote, I can't go against Doss to take the win.

Jeremy Anders, Speed51.com Northwest Editor

Pick: Cameron Hayley

Even though the Canadian hot shoe stepped away from racing for a few years, the former NASCAR Truck Series driver was dominant during his time in SLM racing. He's joined forces with Jefferson-Pitts Racing once again. The combo won some of the biggest races on the west coast during their time together.

Kevin Peters, Speed51.com Southwest Editor

Pick: Eric Schmidt

There is no doubt that Jeremy Doss has earned the role of favorite heading into this one; however, I am going to pick someone who needs a win and looked very good the last time the SRL visited Sin City. I am going to go with Eric Schmidt. There are legitimately 15 cars that could steal the win, but I'm going to roll with the 2006 champion to bring home his first SRL win in Vegas.

Mark Keeler, Speed51.com Operations Manager

Pick: Jeremy Doss

It's hard to pick against a driver that has won two big Super Late Model races at The Bullring already this year.

Michelle Martin, Speed51.com Photographer

Pick: Jeremy Doss

Doss is hard to beat in Vegas. With the season championship on the line, he will be in his zone and score another $10,000 payday at the track.

Patrick Hahe, Speed51.com Great Lakes Editor

Pick: Jeremy Doss

Doss won at The Bullring earlier this year when SRL visited the track and has been the hottest driver all year on the tour. I will take Doss to take the finale.

Rob Blount, Speed51.com Associate Editor

Pick: Jeremy Doss

I decided to not take Jeremy Doss the last time we picked out west and he made me look foolish, so I’m taking Doss this time and hoping he can get me a win.

Ryan McCollough, Speed51.com Southeast Correspondent

Pick: Jeremy Doss

There isn't anything in Vegas more of a sure thing than Doss at the Bullring.

Tom Ryan, Speed51.com Digital Manager

Pick: Jeremy Doss

Jeremy Doss will get it done at the Bullring. After scoring two victories already this year in Vegas, he will return to the winner's circle in Sin City.
