Picking the winners of big short track races throughout the country is a tradition that our staff at Speed51.com has enjoyed for many years. With one of the biggest Pro Late Model races of the year being held Saturday at Five Flags Speedway (FL), we decided to challenge our staff once again.

This week we asked members of our Speed51.com team, “Who are you picking to win the Snowflake 100?”

The answers we received varied, but when all the votes were tallied it was Bubba Pollard (13 votes) who was named the favorite to win the big race.  Overall, six different drivers received votes from our panel of 22 experts.

Check out our full list of staff picks for the Snowflake 100 below.

Adam Mackey, Speed51.com Correspondent

Pick: Bubba Pollard

Bubba Pollard has won two of the last four Snowflake races and I think he will remain the one to beat this Saturday night with his second win in-a-row. He’s too tough to beat in a 100-lap race.

Allick Jorgensen, Speed51.com Florida State Editor

Pick: Bubba Pollard

It’s been an incredible season for Pollard and his unbeaten Pro Late Model. Look for more of the same this weekend.

Blaise Dillner, Speed51.com Correspondent

Pick: Casey Roderick

Casey Roderick has been chasing Bubba for years but has always looked strong in his Pro Late Model. I think this will be the year he wins the Snowflake.

Bob Dillner, Speed51.com Executive Editor

Pick: Stephen Nasse

Mix a little bit of Classy Nancy and Nasty Nasse and that will go along way in 100-lap race.

Brandon Paul, Speed51.com Editor

Pick: Derek Thorn

It’s time for one of the west coast’s best racers to steal a big win on the east coast. Thorn has won nearly everything there is to win in his home territory, but he’s yet to score a signature victory on the east coast. I like his chances to put it all together and win the Snowflake 100 on Saturday night.

Connor Sullivan, Speed51.com Northeast Editor

Pick: Jeff Choquette

Choquette hasn’t had a ton of time in a Pro Late Model this year, but he has been a contender each time out. His teammate Stephen Nasse has been showy in the No. 9 PLM as well in 2018. Choquette knows Five Flags well, and this will be the year he can check off the Snowflake.

Dakota Geyer, Speed51.com State Editor (IN & MI)

Pick: Bubba Pollard

The defending Snowflake 100 winner still has yet to lose in his Pro Late Model. On Saturday night, he will still be undefeated in his PLM after another Snowflake 100 win.

Pick: Bubba Pollard

The season that Bubba Pollard has put together in a Pro Late Model is one for the record books. Pollard has dominated from Florida to north of the border in Canada. The Snowflake 100 will just cap off his dream season.

Pick: Bubba Pollard

The defending Snowflake winner will go back-to-back and defend his title. Pollard has been the man to beat all year. Don’t expect that to change Saturday night.

Elgin Traylor, Speed51.com Southeast Correspondent

Pick: Bubba Pollard

Bubba Pollard will finish the year unbeaten and score his third Snowflake 100 victory. This might be the most popular pick for the Snowflake in recent memory.

Evan Canfield, Speed51.com / MoJo Photos

Pick: Stephen Nasse

Stephen Nasse has been one of the hottest drivers in the country as of late. He will finish his season off in the Pro Late Model with a victory in the Snowflake.

Jana Wimmer, Speed51.com Midwest Editor

Pick: Bubba Pollard

Pure domination in his Pro Late Model will continue.

Jeremy Anders, Speed51.com Northwest Editor

Pick: Augie Grill

Over the years, Grill has some big wins at Five Flags during Derby week. The Alabama legend will write his name in the history books with another Snowflake 100 win.

Kendra Adams, Speed51.com Southeast Correspondent

Pick: Jeff Choquette

I choose Jeff Choquette because the Jett Concrete team has been on fire all year in both their Supers and Pro Late Models. It’s Jeff Choquette’s time to shine in this year’s Snowflake 100.

Kevin Peters, Speed51.com Southwest Editor

Pick: Casey Roderick

Roderick won three of the four Pro Late Model features at Five Flags Speedway this year. His only loss was the only visit by Bubba Pollard, who is also entered. I have a feeling that Roderick will win this battle and cap off a brilliant season in the Pro Late Models this weekend in the Allen Turner Snowflake 100.

Madison Mabry, Speed51.com Southeast Correspondent

Pick: Bubba Pollard

It’s almost silly not to pick Bubba Pollard anytime there is a Pro Late Model race and he’s on the entry list. Pollard has seen so much success this year as a whole, in the Blizzard Series and at Five Flags Speedway. He will be the one parked in victory lane at the end of the night.

Mark Keeler, Speed51.com Operations Manager

Pick: Bubba Pollard

It’s simple. His Pro Late Model remains undefeated. Until someone proves they can beat him (and that car), you can’t pick against him.

Patrick Hahe, Speed51.com Great Lakes Editor

Pick: Casey Roderick

Roderick has shown a steady hand in Pro Late Models all year, and I expect his experience to win out in the much shorter Snowflake 100.

Rob Blount, Speed51.com Associate Editor

Pick: Bubba Pollard

As far as I know, his Pro Late Model is still undefeated. It’s going to be tough to beat him and that car with how good it’s been the past year.

Ryan McCollough, Speed51.com Southeast Correspondent

Pick: Bubba Pollard

Until someone proves they can beat Bubba Pollard’s Pro Late Model, he has to be the choice. He dominated last year’s Flake, and has destroyed every PLM event he has entered in the last 18 months.

Tom Ryan, Speed51.com Digital Manager

Pick: Bubba Pollard

Bubba Pollard will remain undefeated in the No. 26 PLM machine because he can’t be beat in that car.

Zach Evans, Speed51.com Southeast Editor

Pick: Bubba Pollard

Nearly everywhere Pollard has taken his Pro Late Model, he has come back with a trophy. It’s a boring pick, but there’s no reason to think he won’t pick up his third Snowflake win.
