Speed51 Adds Three Sim Racing Series to Schedule

Since late 2019, Speed51 has made strides in the eSports world, joining forces with Elite Racing Leagues with the first full seasons of the sim racing Speed51 Elite Modified Tour and Speed51 SK Modified Series, as well as becoming the new streaming home of the Western Super Series. Now, Speed51 and Elite Racing Leagues are taking the sim racing game to a new level with the debut of three new racing leagues on Speed51 this spring.

These three leagues, modeled after the highest levels of Stock Car racing, will also feature many top drivers in the sim racing ranks. They are the Speed51 Elite JoinAPS.com Cup Series, Speed51 Elite Homeplace Beer Series, and the Speed51 Elite Yuengling Truck Series. Speed51 is excited to welcome these well established series into the fold for the upcoming early 2020 seasons.

The Speed51 Elite JoinAPS.com Cup Series and Speed51 Elite Homeplace Beer Series, using sim versions of the cars in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series respectively, already have their fields set for the upcoming seasons, featuring pro sim racers.

For the Speed51 Elite JoinAPS.com Cup Series, the premier series of Elite Racing Leagues, there will be a total of 18 races over the season. The first 11 will be regular season races, before coming to a seven-race playoff format, with three races in the first round, another three in the second, and a final single championship race. The Top 12 drivers in points will qualify for the chase, with the “win and you’re in” format also in effect.  Four drivers are cut after each round, leading to a final four going for the title. The JoinAPS.com Cup Series will run every Wednesday night starting on March 18

Defending champion Gerald Campbell is expected to be back, going up against a wide list of drivers that includes Justin Bonsignore and Tyler Truex.

The Speed51 Elite Homeplace Beer Series will also feature an 18 race schedule using the same season and chase format as the JoinAPS.com Cup Series, but on a different schedule of tracks for the most part. The Homeplace Beer Series will begin on March 16 and run on Monday nights.

Starting April 5 and every Sunday night, the Speed51 Elite Yuengling Truck Series will get underway for the upcoming season. This series, taking inspiration from the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, will be open to any participants. There is a $5 entry fee, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the season purse.

The 51 Yuengling Truck Series will consist of 12 races, with eight regular season races, and a four-race chase playoff format. The first three chase races will see the 12 drivers that make the chase vying for the four spots in the final championship race. The 12 chase drivers will feature drivers that win in the first races that make at least seven of those eight races, then the highest in points.
