What Won the Race:
The high side was key in tonight’s feature event. Ryan Godown passed Grant Hilfiger on the top to take the lead and the win.
The Skinny:
After Woodhull Raceway aces Grant Hilfiger and Donnie Lawson battled for the lead for the majority of the race, outsiders Andy Bachetti and Ryan Godown challenged for the race lead. Bachetti would go around on the top side trying to take the lead, setting up a big restart with 12 laps to go. Godown would pass Hilfiger for the race lead with 8 laps to go and run away to claim the $5,200 payday.

“We just made it happen. I was able to get up to the top and get a good run off and get next to him by the flag stand on the bottom. Then obviously you have the preferred lane and just tried to hit out marks from there.”

On the Move:
Tommy Meier was the man on the move after advancing through his consolation race. He started the feature in the 25th starting position and slowly worked his way to a sold fifth place finish. gaining 20 positions.
Biggest Loser:
After drawing a sixth starting position, Danny Creeden was involved in a lap 1 incident that would place him 28th, dropping 22 positions.
Feature Notebook:
- Grant Hilfiger and Donnie Lawson lead the field to the green flag
- Danny Creeden makes contact with Alan Johnson, triggering a multi-car pileup that would end the night for Creeden, Alan Rudalavage, and Brady Fultz.
- Racing resumes with Hilfiger and Lawson swapping the lead back and forth.
- Woodhull champion Billy Van Pelt would have troubles and go to the pits, but rejoin the field.
- Andy Bachetti and Ryan Godown make strides to the front of the field.
- Bachetti would jump the cushion taking the lead from Hilfiger and spin out.
- Ryan Godown goes to the top of Hilfiger and use momentum to take the lead with 8 laps remaining.
- Godown claims the $5,200 payday over Hilfiger and Lawson.

- 45 cars are on hand for the Short Track Super Series Northern Division race at Woodhull Raceway.
- Five heat races of nine cars each and three consolation races of ten cars each will set the stage for tonight’s main event.
- Track regular Cory Costa did not start his heat race.
- Heat races were won by Ryan Godown, Grant Hilfiger, Brian Malcolm, Danny Creeden, and Alan Rudalavage.
- Top point guys Andy Bachetti and Tommy Meier did not qualify through their heat races.

- Controversy is sparked between Colton Wilson and Steven Hartman at the end of consi three after contact is made for the final transfer spot on the last lap, advancing Wilson to the main event.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. Grandstand gates are unlocked at 4 p.m. Hot laps get underway at 6 p.m. Qualifying begins at 7 p.m.
Who to Watch For:
Point leader Erick Rudolph has been very consistent in the STSS North Region season and is looking to be contender. Also, multi-time track champion Billy Van Pelt looks to protect his home turf, as well as Ryan Godown coming off a hot streak in the last month.
