What Won the Race:
Jimmy Phelps used an array of things to claim victory in the Outlaw 200 at the Fulton Speedway. Phelps raced in the top 5 the first half of the event and worked his way into second by the half way point. After making adjustments during the competition yellow at lap 101, Phelps took charge of the event and held the lead until the end when the rains fell ending the race and late race charges by second and third place finishers Mike Mahaney and Alan Johnson who looked to contend for the win.

The Skinny:
Vic Coffey and Billy Decker led the 44-car big block modified field to the green flag for the Outlaw 200. There was great 2, 3, and 4-wide racing action all throughout the field for the duration of the event. Decker led until lap 16 when he rolled to a stop off turn 4, then later was involved in a multi-car accident in turn one retiring him from the event. Matt Sheppard took control after the restart and quickly entered lapped traffic while Larry Wight and Jimmy Phelps were charging hard to the front. Wight would pass Sheppard on lap 90 for the lead and Sheppard would make contact with a euke tire on the next lap and retire from the race with front suspension damage.
Wight was the leader at the half way break, but when racing resumed, Jimmy Phelps charged out into the lead. A long run of green flag racing would find the leaders dicing through lapped traffic as Phelps tried to hold off a stout charge from Mike Mahaney, while Billy Dunn, Chris Hile, and Alan Johnson were all posting late race runs to the front. Chad Phelps would bring out a caution on lap 188 for broken front suspension and Mother Nature began to make her presence felt. The rains would put an end to the Outlaw 200 at lap 188 as Jimmy Phelps claimed the victory over Mike Mahaney, Alan Johnson, Chris Hile, and Larry Wight rounding out the top 5.
