The Skinny: After the majority of the field pitted for fresh tires on Lap 62 & 75, Ryan Preece stayed out with the lead both times after leading since the early laps. Preece soon fell out of the top ten following the Lap 75 yellow. Preece spun on Lap 114 after what he said was contact from behind while battling his worn tires.

Preece turned his troubles around, staying on the lead lap and getting fresh tires. After tearing through field from 15th, Preece caught Doug Coby for the lead after Coby had just snatched it from Timmy Solomito. Preece dove past Coby for the lead on Lap 134, but Coby hounded Preece until 2 to go when Coby got a shot with lapped traffic. Coby blew a tire going into turn one on the white flag and wheeled around to fourth. Preece celebrated his fourth NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour win of 2017.

Winning Quote: “If you got a car like that, coming from 15th is not a problem, you just got to navigate your way through and pick your holes and make the right decisions. Ultimately, it was a lot of fun. I had a blast.”-Ryan Preece
