Winning Quote: “I’m teary-eyed because it’s been a long time since we’ve won.” – Shaun Mangum

NotebookShaun Mangum has led all of the first 33 laps in the Mid-Atlantic Limited Late Model Series feature. The first caution flag waved for debris with 33 laps complete. The No. 31 of Ryan Robertson was black-flagged for jumping the restart. Officials have stopped scoring Robertson, moving Mack Little into second-place. Shaun Mangum wins the 50-lap feature for the Mid-Atlantic Limited Late Model Series feature.  Sonny Schoffen takes the win in the Street Stock feature. AJ Sanders holds off Michael Tucker in a thrilling 20-lap Mini Stock race to close out a great night of racing at Concord Speedway.

Who To Watch For: In the Limited Late Model division, Mack Little is always a favorite over at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, North Carolina, and that should translate to a strong run here at Concord. In the Mini Stock division, AJ Sanders is always strong. He finished second one week ago at Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) before being disqualified for a post-race altercation. Michael Tucker was another front-runner at Hickory and should be strong here as well. In the Street Stock division, Sonny Schoffen and Jeff Melton are strong competitors wherever they go. Look for them to be up front today.

The Track: Concord Speedway in Concord, North Carolina is a fast, half-mile tri-oval. The track stopped weekly racing in 2013 on the big track.  Legends and Bandoleros run every Friday night on the 1/4-mile oval adjacent to the half-mile.

Weather: After being postponed one week because of rain, the weather at Concord Speedway is absolutely beautiful. It is partially cloudy, with a temperature in the mid-70’s and a nice, cool breeze.  It’s a perfect day for racing.
