What Won the Race: Aggression. Lemons admittedly pushed early leader Swaim as hard as he could throughout the first half of the event in an attempt to lap as many cars as possible prior to the mandatory pit stop. Later, while battling with Snider for the top spot, contact sent Snider around turning the lead over to Lemons.
Snider and Lemons battled hard for the lead before contact sent Snider around.
Swaim lost the lead to Lemons and Myatt Snider. He battled back with Snider for second before dropping out with some sort of engine failure.
The vast majority of the field pitted on a lap 65 caution. Swaim pitted first and came out first. Lemons got blocked getting to his pit and came out eighth.
Through the first half of the race it was the Travis Swaim show. He and Tommy Lemons opened up a full straight-away advantage over the field.
Winning Quote:”Winning solves everything.” was how Lemons described his health after missing practice on Saturday suffering from flu-like symptoms.
Notebook: Four-time track champion Travis Swaim set fast-time and will lead them to green.
Favorite Lee Pulliam turned in a disappointing qualifying effort and is reportedly suffering from flu-like symptoms.
Today’s race is 150 laps. There is a mandatory pit stop where teams have the option to change up to two tires.

Who To Watch For: With a handful of wins in almost as many starts in 2015 at Caraway, 3-time NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Champion Lee Pulliam (11) has earned his place among the favorites. But in a field stacked with talent such as this, it would not be a surprise to see any one sneak onto the podium and capture a win.
The Track: Caraway Speedway is a .455 semi-banked oval located in Sophia, NC. It is known for it’s long straight-aways and tight, mildly banked corners, giving it a classic ‘paper clip’ style profile. The track was first opened in 1966 and operated as a dirt track before being paved in 1972.
Weather: It is a beautiful sunny day here in Sophia, NC with temperatures hovering in the upper 50°s and partly could skies. The forecast shows 0% chance of precipitation throughout the afternoon and evening.
Next Series Race: The Late Model Stocks will be back for another 150 lap event on Saturday 3/26.
