The Skinny:
A huge pileup on a Lap 5 restart eliminated contenders Joey Pole and Cassius Clark. Angelo Belsito got spun early on while leading which handed the lead over to Griffith. Griffith held the lead for many laps until Belsito worked his way back up to second with less than 30 to go. Belsito had the inside going into turn one, got loose under Griffith and spun while Griffith kept the wheels straight. Shaw challenged Griffith in the final laps but was no match.

Winning Quote:

“It was a hard race, great racing at the end, DJ was coming. Thought he had a little something for me at the end. I held off to prevail.” -Derek Griffith

Winning Crew Chief: Louis Mechalides

On the Move: David Darling started 19th and gained 15 positions to finish 4th.

Biggest Loser: On a tough night for many, Joey Pole started 10th and was wiped out in that Lap 5 wreck finishing 23rd.

Feature Notebook:

Matt Swanson recovered from the Lap 5 wreck to finish 6th in his first career start in a Pro Stock/Super Late Model.

Angelo Belsito led early but was spun out Fred Astle who was penalized, Astle recovered and finished third.

Pre-Feature Notebook:

Dave Farrington, Jr. won the Granite State Pro Stock Series season finale at Waterford last week. He had distributor trouble during Friday practice, but has it sorted for today.

Joey Doiron had a wire issue early today and only made it out for the final session.

Cassius Clark takes over the Ramstrom No. 35 after Derek Ramstrom couldn’t drive with a sore neck.
