What Won the Race:
Veteran driver Jeff Lane qualified on the pole and pulled way from Phil Jenkins to win the first CRA Street Stock race of the 2016 season.
Eddie VanMeter and Terry Fisher Jr battled for the lead throughout the 40-lap feature, but it was a last lap pass made by VanMeter that settled the score and earned him the win at Cabin Fever.

|10||22||James Kirby III|

Top Speed Modifieds Unofficial Results:
Jeff Lane undoubtedly has fast race cars wherever he goes. The Late Model racing veteran started set fast time and started mid-pack after the inversion was set. Within the first few laps he struggled to get around Phil Jenkins, who had been fast around Lucas Oil Raceway in Saturday’s practice as well as today. Once Lane was able to clear Jenkins it was smooth sailing from there for the Knightstown, Indiana driver.
Eddie VanMeter trailed closely behind Terry Fisher Jr for the majority of the 40 laps this afternoon. VanMeter made a few runs at the leader throughout the duration of the event, but was unable to get the edge up on the three-time race winner Fisher.
Once the white flag was in the air VanMeter said it was go time and gave it another run at the leader. The two went into turn two and VanMeter drove to the bottom of the race track, taking the top spot at the exit of two. As the two drivers entered turn three Fisher had a strong run on VanMeter, but was unable to make the move that VanMeter had just used on him to take over the lead.
Top Speed Modifieds:
After making the trip from Columbus, Ohio Saturday night due to Columbus cancelling their opening night, Kyle Purvis arrived in Indianapolis Sunday morning. Purvis proved he had a fast Modified when he rolled onto the track for the first time today. He set the fast time in qualifying and ran away from the field early in the race. Scott Coe made a run on Purvis and posed a threat for the win until he got caught up in lapped traffic, which slowed down Purvis and allowed Purvis to take home the checkered flag.
“I can’t really say anything more other than our car was fast today, man that thing was rollin’.” – Jeff Lane.
“We bumped wheels going into turn two when I went in for the pass, so in turn three I gave him extra room when he tried to pass me back. I didn’t mean to bump him, TJ (Terry Fisher Jr) always races me really clean and I wanted to race him the same way.” – Eddie VanMeter.
The CRA Street Stock event will be the first event up of the afternoon. The Street Stocks will go around the .686-mile oval 40 times under green this afternoon.
Jeff Lane, the fast qualifier, leads with 18 laps of the original 40 remaining.
Jarrod Soucy leads the Compacts with two laps remaining.
Jarrod Soucy made the trip all the way from Massachusetts for the race event this weekend, and it payed off for him when the checkered flag waved.
Last year’s race winner Terry Fisher, Jr took over the top spot on the track and has started to run away from the field in the CRA Sportsman feature.
Greg VanAlst was occupying the third position, but quickly fell off of the pace.
Ten laps for Fisher to make it four in a row.
Eddie VanMeter uses a last lap pass in turn two do win the CRA Sportsman feature.
