What Won the Race:
Ty Majeski patiently waited behind Austin Nason for several laps before the two made contact and Nason was moved out of the way with three laps to go.

Austin Nason led the majority of the 100 lap feature, but in the end could not hold off Ty Majeski. This is the 5th consecutive series win for Majeski, which is a new record in addition to the track record. The race was filled with cautions, which eliminated several cars from the race.

On the Move:
Derek Kraus started shot gun on the field after a slow qualifying effort. The team made changes, and he patiently made his way to 8th for the finish.
Ricky Baker was the biggest loser Saturday night, after starting in the 5th position, but having troubles, he could only make 20 laps which placed him 19th after the race.
15 laps in, Austin Nason leads Casey Johnson.
25 laps in, yellow for Natalie Decker. Nason continues to lead.
Austin Nason narrowly misses Zehr and Eilen as they come together. 34 to go.
Nason continues to hold off Majeski on the restarts. 20 to go.
Majeski makes contact with Nason with 3 to go, takes lead and wins.
This is Majeski’s 5th series win in a row, a record.

Each car will get two laps to make their best time, and the top-16 will race in odd and even dashes. The remaining cars will race in a qualifier race.

Who to Watch For:
Jon Reynolds Jr. is always fast, and at his home track he will be a car to watch. Ty Majeski is always successful, and won here at Rockford two years ago.
After a great start to the season so far, Ty Majeski leads Travis Dassow by 140 points coming into today’s race.
Rockford is a high-banked quarter mile oval which hosted its inaugural season in 1948. The track is located in Rockford, IL
The weather is nearly perfect, the temperature will be around 76 at the time of green flag later, and just a few clouds in the sky.
