The Skinny:

Eleven cautions filled the Midwest Tour race at Rockford on Saturday night, but a fast car allowed Austin Nason to rummage his way through the field twice after a flat tire to bring home the victory. It was a redeeming win after one slipped away at the track last year.

Winning Quote:

"It feels awesome. I don't think I have ever drove through the field that fast and got back to the lead." - Austin Nason

On the Move:

Jonathon Eilen did not have an incredibly fast car, but a clean race brought him from the 14th starting spot to finish 3rd, a gain of 11 positions.

Biggest Loser:

Paul Shafer Jr. saw his points lead slip away after hard contact with the wall just 29 laps in. This led to a DNF early in the night after a solid season so far.

Feature Notebook:

Michael Ostdiek leads early on.
Caution - Lap 12: Jim Olson spins in turn two.
Lap 29: Points leader Paul Shafer Jr with a hard hit in turn 4. Dalton Zehr with some damage.
Casey Johnson leads a lap with 60 to go. Austin Nason grabs the lead one lap later.
Lap 87: Justin Mondiek and Dalton Zehr make contact on the back stretch. Mondiek is done for the night.
Austin Nason picks up his second Midwest Tour win of the season.
