What Won the Race:
Perseverance and a fast car allowed Austin Nason to come back through the field in a strong fashion to win at Rockford Speedway.

Eleven cautions filled the Midwest Tour race at Rockford on Saturday night, but a fast car allowed Austin Nason to rummage his way through the field twice after a flat tire to bring home the victory. It was a redeeming win after one slipped away at the track last year.

On the Move:
Jonathon Eilen did not have an incredibly fast car, but a clean race brought him from the 14th starting spot to finish 3rd, a gain of 11 positions.
Paul Shafer Jr. saw his points lead slip away after hard contact with the wall just 29 laps in. This led to a DNF early in the night after a solid season so far.
Michael Ostdiek leads early on.
Caution – Lap 12: Jim Olson spins in turn two.
Lap 29: Points leader Paul Shafer Jr with a hard hit in turn 4. Dalton Zehr with some damage.
Casey Johnson leads a lap with 60 to go. Austin Nason grabs the lead one lap later.
Lap 87: Justin Mondiek and Dalton Zehr make contact on the back stretch. Mondiek is done for the night.
Austin Nason picks up his second Midwest Tour win of the season.
Dalton Zehr and Paul Shafer Jr. were fastest during the practice sessions.
Dalton Zehr set fast time during qualifying and a new track record with a 12.913
James Swan wins the Qualifier Race.

Each driver will get two laps to set their fastest time. The top 14 will then be separated into heat races, and the remaining drivers into their own heat races. The field will be set by an invert after the heats.
Qualifying begins at 6 pm
Racing begins just after 7 pm
Who to Watch For:
Hometown driver, Austin Nason, always has speed at Rockford. He will be one to watch today in the chase for his second ARCAMT win.
Paul Shafer Jr leads Austin Nason by just one point so far. Casey Johnson sits 10 points behind them after three races.
Rockford Speedway is a 1/4-mile, high-banked asphalt oval located in Loves Park, Illinois.
It has been a hot one the last couple days, with a high of 94 degrees but temperatures are expected to cool down before racing begins.
