Asheboro, NC — Southern Modifed Racing Series and Hoosier Tire Officials announced a new tire combination after an extensive test sessions during speedweeks at New Symrna and Caraway Speedway. The new tire combination will be M30 on the left side and M450 on the right side. “As our series continues to grow, the tour needed a more durable tire that enables drivers to race harder. The results indicated this combination had less wear and maintained speed throughout. Hoosier Asphalt South was instrumental in aiding the series with this endeavor. Gary Freeman has been a long time advocate for Modified racing in the south and continues to support the growth of the series.” stated Renee Hackett, series director.
Southern Modified Racing Series would like to thank all the teams, tire engineers, Hoosier Tire and officials for all their efforts and expertise to help the series make this change. The season opener will be hosted next Sunday, March 11that Caraway Speedway in conjunction with the PASS Super Late Models. A test and tune session will take place Saturday from 12pm – 8pm.
