There was plenty of racing action in the Southeast this weekend.  Here’s a roundup of all the asphalt action from across the Carolinas, Virginia and Tennessee.

North Carolina

Ace Speedway – RD Smith took down the win in the Late Model feature, beating Mike Darne, Patrick Coleman, Dennis Holdren and Justin Carroll.  Ace Speedway is off this Friday night and returns to action on Friday, September 4.


Bowman Gray Stadium – The Madhouse concluded its season with 150 laps of Modified action.  Jason Brown scored his seventh win of the 2015 season, but it was Tim Brown who won the championship for the 10th time in his legendary career.


Caraway Speedway – The .4-mile track in Sophia, North Carolina was off this past Saturday night. Caraway returns to action this Saturday with a regular card of racing, headlined by a 50-lap Limited Late Model race. And, it’s just $3 admission.


East Carolina Motor Speedway – No results are currently available from Saturday night’s action at the track.  Jeff Shifflet led the Late Model standings heading into Saturday night by 22 points over Lewis White.  The track returns on Saturday, September 5.


Hickory Motor Speedway – Hickory was off this most recent Saturday. It’ll be back in action this upcoming Saturday, August 29.  Landon Huffman will look to extend his two-point lead over Matt Piercy.


Orange County Speedway – Craig Moore claimed his third Late Model win of the 2015 season.  He beat Terry Dease and Chris Denny to the checkered flag, and extended his points lead in the process. Orange County is back in action on September 12.


jegs_350engine_260x260Southern National Motorsports Park – SNMP was off on Saturday night. They’ll be back in action this upcoming Saturday, August 29. Andrew Grady seeks to open up his points lead over Jonathan Findley.


Tri-County Motor Speedway – Mack Little and Amber Colvin won the South East Limited Late Model features at Tri-County on Saturday night. The next race at the track is on Oct. 10 when the SELLM returns to the facility.


Wake County Speedway – Clay Jones won the LMSC feature at Wake County this past weekend. Wake County will race again in two weeks on Friday, September 4.


South Carolina

Anderson Motor Speedway – Trey Gibson and Mitchell Mote split twin Late Model features on Friday night. The track is back in action on Saturday, August 29 with the Southeast Super Truck series headlining the racing card.


Dillon Motor Speedway – BJ Mackey held off Averitt Lucas to score the Late Model win on Saturday night. Adam Congrove, Jon Lane and Justin Hicks completed the top five.  Dillon is off until Saturday, September 12.


Florence Motor Speedway – Florence was off this past weekend. The track is back in action on Saturday, August 29th.


Greenville Pickens Speedway – The track was off this past Saturday night. Greenville is back in action on September 12th. With just a few weeks left on Greenville’s schedule, David Roberts leads Trey Gibson by 58 points.


Myrtle Beach Speedway – Sam Yarbrough swept the twin Late Model features at the beach this weekend. Yarbrough now leads Jeremy McDowell by 140 points.  The track is back in action on Thursday, September 3.



Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville – The next race at the Nashville half-mile is September 12.  Willie Allen leads Cole Williams by 30 points in the Pro Late Model standings.


Highland Rim Speedway – Brice Crabtree took the win in the Super Stock feature Saturday night. Tink Jackson, Samuel McCord, Joshua Hood and William Collins Jr. completed the top five.  Highland Rim is back in action this Saturday, August 12.


Kingsport Speedway – Kingsport Speedway was off this weekend. The next night of racing at Kingsport is Championship Night on August 28.  Ronnie McCarty leads Wayne Hale in the LMSC points standings by 46 heading into the final night.



Langley Speedway – Langley was off this weekend.  Danny Edwards Jr. leads Greg Edwards in the LMSC standings by 10 points.  The track returns to action this Saturday, August 29.


Lonesome Pine Raceway – Lonesome Pine was off this weekend.  Kres VanDyke leads Wayne Hale in the Late Model Stock standings by 44 points.  Lonesome Pine has twin Late Model features once again on Saturday, August 29th.


Motor Mile Speedway – Lee Pulliam swept the twin-75’s to pick up his ninth and tenth wins at the track this season in Late Model Stock competition.  Pulliam now leads Matt Bowling in the track standings by 84 points.  Motor Mile returns to action on September 12.


Shenandoah Speedway – Robert Bruce scored the Late Model win on Saturday night.  Doug Liberman, Michael Marr, Mark Miller and Zach Wells completed the top five.  The track returns to action on September 5.


South Boston Speedway – South Boston was off this past weekend. The Late Models will go 150 laps on Saturday August 29th for South Boston’s next event.  Matt Bowling currently leads Lee Pulliam by 34 points.
