Now less than two weeks away from the 51st Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway (FL), more and more drivers are submitting their entries for the prestigious event. That applies for every division, as the entry list for the Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100 is now up to 50 competitors.

In the latest update to the Snowflake 100 entry list, four new names have joined the fray. Tyler Porter, Colt James, Harold Crooms, and Kyle Ivey are the newest additions to the Snowflake list, joining the list of other Pro Late Model competitors.

That list includes a veritable “who’s who” of the best Late Model racers in the country, all vying for a win during the biggest week of asphalt short track racing.

The entry list currently includes one former Snowball Derby winner and another former Snowflake 100 victor. Johanna Long-Robbins, the 2010 Snowball Derby champion, is competing in her first Snowflake since 2015. Meanwhile, 2014 and defending Snowflake winner Bubba Pollard will be looking to add to his win total in the event during a year where he’s had incredible success around North America in his Pro Late Model.

Casey Roderick is also on the Snowflake entry list, fresh off winning the Five Flags Speedway Pro Late Model track championship. Roderick won three of the four Allen Turner Pro Late Model features during the 2018 season and hopes to add another to close out the calendar year.

Two-time JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour champion Jack Dossey, III is entered for the Snowflake, part of a busy weekend of new experiences for the Indiana driver. Dossey will be making his first career appearances in both the Snowflake 100 and the Snowball Derby, attempting double-duty on the weekend.

Derek Thorn remains the “long haul” entrant of the Snowflake 100, traveling from Bakersfield, California for the event. He is another driver who will be attempting double-duty during the Snowball Derby.

Last year, Spencer Davis finished runner-up to Pollard in the Snowflake 100. Davis is again entered for the Snowflake this season, looking to improve by one position on last year’s result.

This is only a sampling of the heavy hitters entered for the Snowflake, with other entrants including Jeff Choquette, Corey Heim, Chase Purdy, Cole Anderson, and Stephen Nasse among others. With 11 more days until the Snowflake 100, there will still be more entrants for the event, so stay tuned to for the latest updates on this and all the entry lists for the Snowball Derby.

Late Model teams will take to the track for the first time on Thursday, November 29 in their first rounds of practice. Thursday night’s racing program features 50-lap events for the Sportsmen and Outlaw Stock competitors.

The Friday of Snowball Derby weekend is often called the most intense day in short track racing, as Super Late Model drivers compete in qualifying in hopes of securing their spot in Sunday’s field. The Modifieds will also be in action on Friday night in a 75-lap feature.
