As Late Model racers make their journey to Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway this week, they will have extra incentive to have their cars looking sharp. will once again host the annual Snowball Derby Best Appearing Car Award, and for the second straight year Horvath Designs will present the award.


The winner of the annual award will receive pre-race recognition prior to the green flag for the 50th Annual Snowball Derby.  They will also receive a commemorative trophy for their efforts in bringing a good-looking car to Pensacola.


300x250 Snowball Derby PPVEvery year at the Snowball Derby, fans look forward to seeing which teams decide to do a special paint scheme and what it will look like.  With the 50th Annual Snowball Derby being a milestone race, we expect to see even more effort and more creativity this week at Five Flags. 


Voting will take place on’s Five Star Race Car Bodies Facebook page beginning on Friday morning at approximately 10 a.m. CT.  At that time, will create photo galleries for both the Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100 cars.


51’s staff members will narrow down the list to 10 nominations for each division before voting begins on Friday.  Once the gallery is posted, race fans will “like” the photo of their favorite Super and Pro Late Models.


Voting will end for the Snowflake 100 cars at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday, while voting for the Snowball Derby cars will end at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday.  The photo with the most “likes” will receive the 50th Annual Snowball Derby Best Appearing Car Award presented by Horvath Designs.
