If you were an owner of a major motorsports organization, which current short track racers would you want on your team? That’s the question Speed51.com has asked industry experts from all across the United States and Canada as the “100% Short Track News” source gears up for the 2015 Short Track Draft presented by PFC Brakes on Speed51.com.
A list of more than 400 candidates from many different forms of motorsports (dirt and pavement) have been sent out to this year’s experts in order to help us crown the top talents in short track racing in the 12th annual draft. From those who are in development series such as ARCA and NASCAR K&N Pro Series, to those still in go-karts, 51’s list of short track talent for this year’s draft is larger than ever before. As always, there is also a write-in ballot for those drivers that might have escaped us.
In addition to releasing the top-51 draft picks beginning on April 30, this year’s Short Track Draft experience has been enhanced greatly thanks to the support of Speed51.com partner PFC Brakes. PFC Brakes, a leading manufacturer of brake calipers, rotors and pads, continues their strong support of grassroots racing by partnering with Speed51.com for one-of-a-kind features like the Short Track Draft.
“PFC Brakes is a strong supporter of Speed51.com and I couldn’t be more pleased to have their name attached to one of our most popular annual features,” said Bob Dillner, owner of Speed51.com. “This year’s Short Track Draft presented by PFC Brakes will be like nothing else ever seen before in the short track racing world. The entire team at Speed51.com is very excited to get started with this fun project and we think the fans will really enjoy it as well, including some stuff from 51 TV.”

Fans will also be allowed to be part of the equation to determine the outcome of the Short Track Draft presented by PFC Brakes when a Fan Vote is announced later this week.
Once votes are tallied, including a fan vote that will be announced at a later date, the votes will be placed into an equation to determine the top-51 picks for the Speed51.com Short Track Draft presented by PFC Brakes. The number one selection will be released the same time as the number-one pick in the NFL Draft, on Thursday, April 30 at 8pm on Speed51.com powered by JEGS.
