With the Summer season now in the rear view mirror, the sim racers of the Speed51 Elite Modified Tour are already gearing up for the upcoming 12-race 2019-2020 Fall-Winter schedule. Starting on Tuesday, October 15, the Elite Racing League will present sim Modified racing at a wide-variety of short tracks, from classic Modified favorites to a fair share of wildcards.
Just as the real ground pounders do every winter in Florida, the Speed51 Elite Modified Tour will lead the upcoming season off on October 15 at New Smyrna Speedway with the Wentz Auto Body 100. Moving west to the Florida Panhandle, one of the great tracks of Late Model racing, Five Flags Speedway will play host to 100 laps of racing on October 22.
The Speed51 Elite Modified Tour wraps up the first Southern stretch by taking on Myrtle Beach Speedway (SC) on October 29, with the 3 Wide TV 100. Moving further north on November 5, the Tour then takes on one of the great Modified venues at Stafford Motor Speedway (CT) with the Bottled Up Podcast 100.
The rest of November has a good treat in store for Modified lovers, as the Speed51 Elite Modified Tour takes on three of the Midwest’s great Speedways. First on November 12, World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (IL) leads off the stretch for the #Racing4STL 100 on the 1.25-mile oval.
Next is a track where the real world Modifieds will be heading for the first time in 2020, Iowa Speedway hosts the Bofanna 100 for the 51 Tour on November 19. Then on November 26, the Mods head to one of the nation’s great treasures, the Milwaukee Mile (WI) for 100 laps of racing to wrap up the Midwest swing.
Following a mid-season break, it’s back to the Northeast and “The Magic Mile,” New Hampshire Motor Speedway on December 10 for the Bofana 100. Then it’s back down south to the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway (TN) for highest lap count of the season, the Homeplace Beer Co. 150 on December 17.
After the winter holidays, it is a final three race push to the title. The 51 Tour takes on South Boston Speedway (VA) in the Mahoning Valley 100 on January 7, then heads to its Virginia neighbor, Martinsville Speedway for the Dayz Gone By Vintage Apparel 100 on January 14.
The season finally concludes back north at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (CT) on January 21 with the Icebreaker 100.
