Schedule & More Information for the Snowflake 100

December 4, 2018 • App, Archives, Late Models, Region - National, Snowball Derby, Top Stories

One of the nation’s biggest Pro Late Model events will have a stage of its own on Saturday, December 8. The Allen Turner Snowflake 100, originally scheduled to serve as a precursor to the 51st Annual Snowball Derby, is now scheduled to be held this Saturday at Five Flags Speedway.

The postponement of the event came after the Pensacola, Florida area was impacted by torrential downpours and flooding.

On Monday, track officials released the schedule for the rescheduled event, which also includes the Modifieds of Mayhem season finale and a 50-lap Pro Truck race.

Pits will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday afternoon, with a drivers’ meeting scheduled for 11 a.m. That will lead into a 15-minute practice session for the Modifieds of Mayhem, who already qualified for their race last Friday before rain showers postponed that night’s race.

Pro Late Models competing in the Snowflake 100 will have a 30-minute practice session beginning at 12:15 p.m.

Pro Trucks, a division which didn’t even make it onto the property last weekend due to the rain, will have 45 minutes of practice beginning at 12:45 p.m.

The first feature of the day will get underway at 2 p.m. with the 75-lap season finale for the Modifieds of Mayhem.

Following the conclusion of the Modified race, Pro Late Models will hit the track for Snowflake 100 qualifying, with their last chance qualifier to follow.

Pro Truck qualifying will be next up on the schedule before the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 takes the green flag.

The 50-lap Pro Truck feature will end the day and put a bow on the 51st Annual Snowball Derby activities at Five Flags Speedway.

If Mother Nature decides not to play nice on Saturday, there is a scheduled rain date of Sunday, December 9.

Those who can’t make it to Five Flags Speedway for the rescheduled event will be able to watch all of the action via a pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51.com.

Race fans who originally purchased a five-day video ticket, a video ticket for last Friday’s Modified race or a video ticket for Saturday’s Snowflake 100 will be able to watch the rescheduled event.

If you haven’t purchased a live video ticket for Saturday’s event, you can do so now for $24.99 by clicking here.

Race fans can find practice results and more information on the Snowflake 100 by visiting Speed51.com’s Snowball Central presented by Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants.
