COLUMBIA, S.C. — McCallister Precision Marking has signed 13-year-old rising racing star Ryan Rackley to a multi-year agreement.
Rackley will work with the McCallister Precision Marketing team as he continues his climb through the racing ranks. Rackley currently races Legends cars and plans to make the transition to full-bodied stock cars in the near future.
“This opens up a new chapter in my driving career,” said Rackley. “I think signing with MPM, an established marketing firm, will really help me with driver development, my transition to late models and working with sponsors as I continue to advance my career.”
Rackley, a resident of Valdosta, Ga., has been successful in everything he’s driven. He started his career racing karts in 2012 and scored multiple race wins and series championships before graduating to Legends car competition in 2017.
The young gun quickly made an impact in Legends car competition during his debut at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In his first start in a Legends car he captured the pole, led every lap and won the race during the Furious Four offseason series.
More recent accomplishments include a victory during Atlanta Motor Speedway’s annual Thursday Thunder Series and two more victories at Georgia’s Crisp Motorsports Park later in the year. He closed out the 2017 season by capturing the Legends car Young Lions division championship during Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Winter Flurry Series.
He’s also competed in Nevada at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he captured The Showdown Young Lions championship. This year he also claimed the Atlanta Motor Speedway Thursday Thunder Young Lions title. He has 13 victories, 10 poles and more than 20 top-five finishes in Legends car competition in 2018.
“Ryan’s resume basically speaks for itself,” said Tonya McCallister, the owner of McCallister Precision Marketing. “He has had a ton of success at just 13 years old. Clearly I was impressed with his on-track skills, but what impressed me off the track was his maturity level. He handles himself like someone who has been racing for years, not someone who is just 13.
“We look forward to working with Ryan and assisting him with his needs as he takes the next step in his racing career.”
