Rowdy Series Point Standings Shaken Up After Bullring Battle

The fourth race of the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series powered by Speed51 saw a huge shakeup to the points standings.  After Saturday’s race at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a new driver now leads the season-long points chase.

Following his second win of the season, Alex McCollum inherited the points lead in the 10-race sim racing season featuring many real-world Late Model stars.  The New Jersey Legends competitor and eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series racer now holds a three-point advantage over Parker Retzlaff.

eRattler 250 winner Devon Morgan drops to third in the points standings after leading the chase entering last Saturday’s race at The Bullring.  Morgan finished 13th in the race after being involved in incidents, dropping him in the standings.

The same two drivers remain fourth and fifth, although they have swapped positions.  Following a fourth-place finish Saturday, Lucas Oil Raceway winner Kaden Honeycutt is now fourth ahead of Riley Stenjem.

While many of the front runners remain the same, several of the real-world stars are rising in the standings.

The biggest climber is Virginia’s Mason Diaz, who moved up nine spots to 13th in the points standings.  Diaz finished third in Saturday’s race, his first top-10 finish of the season.

Travis Braden is now up to seventh in the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series standings after his second straight top-10, while Cayden Lapcevich moved up six spots from 16th to also join the top 10 in standings.

Of course, with some drivers on the rise, others saw a sharp decline in their standing after long nights at the Bullring.  Connor Okrzesik was the biggest faller of the weekend out of those who competed in the event, dropping eight spots to 17thafter a 32nd place finish.

The Rowdy Energy Super Select Series Champion will receive a one-of-a-kind prize for their efforts.  Along with a points fund sponsored by Rowdy Energy and PFC Brakes, the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series champion will receive an invitation to the Speed51 Super Late Model All-Star Race.

The first half of the 10-race season will conclude on Saturday, April 18, as the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series heads to Southern National Motorsports Park.  Fans can click here to watch Saturday’s race at 7:30 p.m. ET.
