When the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series powered by Speed51 launched, it was a competitive outlet for real-world Late Model racers during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic which postponed and cancelled many of their events.
With racing set to return in the coming weeks as regulations are relaxed in several states, races in the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series will move from Saturday to Sunday for at least this week.
This weekend’s event at the virtual Oxford Plains Speedway, the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series powered by Speed51 will now compete on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET. Four races remain in the 10-race sim racing season.
After Sunday’s race at Oxford Plains Speedway, the series will go to the two largest tracks on the schedule.
The Rowdy Energy Super Select Series will compete at virtual World Wide Technology Raceway, followed by a trip to The Milwaukee Mile.
The season will conclude at virtual South Boston Speedway. Currently, Alex McCollum leads the points standings in the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series, with a 16-point advantage over Parker Retzlaff.
The series has produced numerous exciting finishes, including last week’s race at Five Flags Speedway which saw three drivers battling for the win and trading virtual paint in the closing laps.
The champion of the Rowdy Energy Super Select Series powered by Speed51 will receive an invitation to the Speed51 Super Select All-Star Race, as well as the winner’s share of a points fund sponsored by Rowdy Energy and PFC Brakes.
