Fans are an integral part of racing at any level, especially in short track racing. The Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series and Speed51 are starting an initiative to reward fans for their support of RoC.
Starting with the Tribute to Don Pratt 62 at Spencer Speedway (NY) on Friday, May 31, fans in attendance at RoC events will have the chance to win prizes including shirts, hats, subscriptions to the Speed51 Network and more.
This initiative will give RoC and Speed51 an opportunity to give back to the fans who support the series and improve the fan experience at the track.
“As important as the racers are, so are the fans,” said RoC promoter Joe Skotnicki. “We need to embrace them and engage them. We felt a good way to do that would be to offer some free swag throughout the year.
“From our standpoint, everyone is our customer, but the most precious customer is the fan,” added Skotnicki. “They have a choice. The fans have a choice to come out and support it or not support it. That support is extremely critical.”
“We’re excited to support Race of Champions again this year,” said Bob Dillner, owner of Speed51. “One of our new initiatives is to engage the fans and encourage them to come out first-hand and support the awesome brand of short track racing the Race of Champions provides.”
Having a chance to win one of these giveaways is simple. Race fans simply need to attend a Race of Champions event and interact with Race of Champions and Speed51 on social media. A winner will be chosen from those entrants.
Fans must be in attendance in order to win a prize.
Speed51 will also continue its support of the RoC “Top of the Board” award, given to the fastest qualifiers at RoC events.
While you must be in attendance to have a chance to win tonight at Spencer Speedway, fans unable to attend the Tribute to Don Pratt 62 can still follow the action with Speed51’s Race Day Now coverage.
