The 2018 Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series has been one to remember as the series enters its midway point this weekend. So far this season, the popular Modified touring series has produced fantastic racing, multiple winners and a number of eager contenders chomping at the bit to claim their cut of the loot.
While the teams of RoC have put forth their best both on and off the track, the series and its multiple partners have also stepped up their own effort all across the board, particularly with the points fund.
Partners such as Hoosier Tire, the U.S. Army and Presque Isle Downs & Casino have returned for 2018, while series newcomer VP Racing Fuels has helped with the boost.
RoC promoter Joe Skotnicki has been proud of the effort from all involved with the series, from sponsors to teams.
“VP has stepped up, Hoosier has stepped up, the U.S. Army has made an impact. We just resigned Presque Isle Downs & Casino with the help of the Erie Sports Commission for Race of Champions Weekend. The support for the series, I don’t want to say we’re comfortable where it’s at because you always want more, but the outreach and support has been outstanding.”
Beyond the Modifieds, the championship winners of the RoC Asphalt Sportsman, Late Model, and Dirt Sportsman will all receive a $1,000 prize come banquet time this winter as well.
Speed51 is also proud to continue its association with the Race of Champions, via multiple broadcasts of on Summer Thunder TV presented by PFC Brakes, as well as the RoC Most Popular Driver Award and Speed51 Top of the Board Award at each race.
