Vernon, N.Y. –– The Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Dirt Modified Series fueled by Sunoco in unison with Utica-Rome Speedway management has announced that plans for the New Yorker Weekend has changed. Due to several scheduling conflicts and a season that has presented many challenges due to inclement weather that New Yorker will be held on Sunday, September 11 in conjunction with the rescheduled “Cole Cup” as a 40-lap feature for the Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Dirt Modified Series fueled by Sunoco paying $3,000-to-win called the “New Yorker 40”.

“With the events in Quebec, Grandview and at Middletown we thought it was best to cancel the show for this year,” stated Utica-Rome Speedway track promoter Bill Shea. “Once we realized we’d be competing against major events at other facilities we thought it was wise not force people to make a choice as to who to support.”
