One of the hottest Outlaw Super Late Model drivers in the country is still looking to capture a victory in one of the most prestigious Outlaw Super Late Model races in the country. Tyler Roahrig has won just about every race in Outlaw Super Late Model racing except one: the Kalamazoo Klash.

Roahrig will get another shot at the Kalamazoo Klash victory that has eluded him next Wednesday, August 9 but for now he has his attention on the Summer Sizzler Friday night at New Paris Speedway (IN).

300x250 Kalamazoo Klash PPV“A lot of people are going and testing at Kalamazoo this week but we are focused on the Sizzler,” said Roahrig, a four-time winner of the Summer Sizzler. “We have plenty of laps around Kalamazoo and I think we will be good even if we don’t practice.”

Wednesday’s start will be Roahrig’s fifth Kalamazoo Klash at the 3/8-mile high-banked oval based in Michigan. Roahrig enters Wednesday’s race after three straight second-place finishes, and is looking to lock in the one position that will land him in the winner’s circle for the first time.

Roahrig is coming off a successful season and is mid-way through another stellar season. He is hoping that this continuation of consistency is what he needs to finally capture the big win.

“Last season was really good for us and we have been pretty good so far this year too. The Klash win would be the biggest win of my career thus far and I really hope that we can finally get there this year,” Roahrig said.

Roahrig’s toughest competition is five-time Kalamazoo Klash winner Terry Senneker, Jr. Senneker is the defending winner of the Klash and will be looking for his sixth Klash win this next week.

“There is some tough competition always at the Klash and they are guys we compete with regular, so I know we stack up with the competition,” Roahrig stated. “We just need to finish that one position in front of Senneker or whoever.”

Fans who are unable to make the trip to Kalamazoo Speedway to see if Roahrig can capture his first Klash win can follow all the action on the live pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51.com. Video tickets for the Kalamazoo Klash are available for purchase here.
