Rattler 250 Postponed Again Following Governor’s Mandate

Originally scheduled for late March and rescheduled twice during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 44th Annual Rattler Weekend — most recently scheduled for April 17-19 — has once again been postponed.

There is no date at this time for the prestigious event, which was rescheduled following a “stay at home” mandate from Alabama government.

“Unfortunately, with Alabama Governor Kay Ivey’s mandate released on Friday, April 3, we are having to postponed the Rattler Weekend once again,” reads a Facebook post from the track.  “The new mandate runs through April 30th, so there was no option.

“We will keep you updated here, and on the website. All RV spots and reserved seats will be honored for the rescheduled date.”

The event was originally scheduled for March 19-21, but was postponed amid concerns stemming from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The event was then scheduled for April 3-5, and then rescheduled for April 17-19.  Unfortunately, the latest developments have forced track officials to once again postpone the event.

Stay tuned to Speed51 for further updates on the 44th Annual Rattler Weekend, as well as other short track events.
