Elma, N.Y. – Race of Champions management is taking the first step in releasing its 2019 racing “up-to-the-minute” schedules with the publication of races scheduled for the Race of Champions family of series.

The schedule gives fans an opportunity to visit premier racing facilities throughout the Northeast. These dates and locations will bring together traditional events with some exciting additions to the promotional calendar, giving everyone a variety of exciting events throughout the 2019 season to showcase the Race of Champions brand of racing.

Marquee events like the return of the Race of Champions to Nelles Corners, Ontario and the Jukasa Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 13, paying $10,000 to win (CAD), highlight the calendar. Jukasa is an ultra-modern facility that saw one of the series' most exciting races in 2018 when Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, N.Y., the 2016 series champion, made a dramatic late-race pass of 2017 series champion, Mike Leaty of Williamson, N.Y., to win an incredible race, making the race an instant hit and classic with fans. It has become a must-visit track for any racing fan in the region, located just a short drive from Buffalo, Toronto or London, Ontario, the track will host the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series and the International Super Modified Association once again on the same event card, giving fans an incredible day of racing. The series' premier event, the 68th Annual Race of Champions 250, will once again take place in North East, PA, at the beautiful Lake Erie Speedway where fans in attendance witnessed an exciting event in 2018, when Matt Hirschman of Northampton, PA recorded his record breaking sixth win in the prestigious event. Lake Erie will also host its traditional June 15 date as part of a Father’s Day weekend spectacular with the Race of Champions Four Cylinder Dash Series and Race of Champions TQ Midget Series. The series will appear twice at Chemung Speedrome (NY), including the opener on Saturday, May 18 with the Four Cylinder Dash Series as well as the Four Cylinder Dash Series. On Saturday, August 3 the series will return to Chemung with the Race of Champions Super Stock Series and the T.Q. Midget Series in conjunction with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in competition at Watkins Glen.

The traditional “Thunder in the Hills” 100 at Hillside Buffalo is scheduled for Saturday, July 6 with the Four Cylinder Dash Series “Butch Palmer” Memorial 32-lap race. (For more information visit www.hllsidebuffalo.com)

Three visits to Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., which holds a rich tradition in Modified racing will begin on Friday, May 31 with a Tribute to Don Pratt 62-lap event, followed by an event on Friday, July 26, with the Maynard Troyer Classic tribute to “Pops” Leaty race taking center stage on Friday, August 30.

The Race of Champions Late Models and Super Stock schedules are beginning to take shape as well, with four dates for the Late Models, an additional associated event as well as a nine-race slate for the Super Stock division. The Race of Champions Asphalt Sportsman Modified Series continues to be a work in progress with five dates inked, while Race of Champions management continues to negotiate dates for all of its seven divisions of racing.

The 2019 Race of Champions rule book has been posted at www.rocmodifiedseries.com.
