Rain passed over New Smyrna Speedway near the conclusion of final practice for Night Two of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Saturday. As a result, Super Late Model and Sportsman qualifying was scrapped, but racing is still on tap for the evening.
Per World Series procedures, the lineups for the two features that did not register qualifying times will be set by last night’s feature results, with an invert drawn by the previous night’s winner. For Saturday’s race, Ryan Moore drew a six for the invert, placing Justin Mondeik on the pole for the 35-lap feature.
Pro Late Models and Florida Modifieds completed their final practice sessions, which doubled as their qualifying sessions for the evening. Zachary Tinkle was fastest for Pro Late Models, but his time was disallowed after refusing technical inspection following the session. Last night’s Pro Late Model winner, Jett Noland will lead the field to green in that feature.
Heather Hadley will start on the pole for the 50-lap Sportsman feature following a four-car invert of Friday night’s results. Jerry Symons will lead the Florida Modified field to green.
