The inaugural Speed51 Super Select at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) is shaping up to be a can’t-miss event for both drivers and race fans.  While the event is an selection-only race (for winners in 2018 & select races in 2017), racers who don’t receive an invite will still have a chance to qualify for the $10,000 “Winner-Take-All” Super Late Model All-Star race on Saturday, September 8.

That chance will come during a 30-lap qualifying race, “The Open,” held prior to the start of the Speed51 Super Select.

Drivers competing in the qualifying race will time trial for their starting position in the 30-lap race.

A minimum of two drivers and maximum of four drivers will transfer to the Speed51 Super Select from “The Open.”  The number of transferred drivers will depend on the amount of entries for the qualifying race and the amount of “Select Team” drivers who accept their invitations prior to the event.

Entry forms for “The Open” qualifying race can be found by clicking here.

The inaugural Speed51 Super Select will be a 75-lap race that will feature a trio of 25-lap segments.  After the final 25-lap segment, the driver who comes out on top will score the $10,000 top prize.

A stout field of Super Late Model racers from all over North America will be competing in the inaugural Speed51 Super Select.  The full list of drivers who have already accepted their invite will be released next week on

The Speed51 Super Select will be hosted by Track Enterprises and sanctioned by the Champion Racing Association (CRA).  A pair of 75-lap features will be contested that evening, one for the Super Late Models and another for the USAC Silver Crown Series.
