The 2018 edition of the richest Outlaw Kart race in America, the QRC Speed51 Open presented by HMS Motorsport at North Carolina’s Millbridge Speedway, will take place this Tuesday and Wednesday.
Five different divisions of Outlaw Karts will be in action across two days of racing, May 22-23, with drivers ranging in ages from as young as six years old to 40 years old.
The Speed51 Open will pay the winner a guaranteed $5,151 on Wednesday night. The Back Row Bonus will also be available to one driver on Wednesday, giving someone the chance at adding an additional $25,000 to their race winnings.
The Speed51 Open sees some of the biggest stars in racing come out to one of dirt racing’s smallest race tracks. Two years ago it was NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Larson taking the victory. One year ago it was Dirt Modified standout Nick Hoffman celebrating between the two ferns in victory lane.
Tuesday night’s racing action will consist of features for the Beginner Box Stocks, Box Stocks and Outlaw 500cc divisions, as well as qualifying for both the Intermediate and Open divisions.
Wednesday night will see the Intermediate Division battle for big money, plus the main event, the Speed51 Open for the Millbridge Speedway Open Division karts.
Both nights of action can be seen via a live pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51.com. Fans can purchase their Speed51.com PPV tickets by clicking here.
The 2018 QRC Speed51 Open presented by HMS Motorsport will also air live on MAVTV via a tape-delayed broadcast produced by Speed51.com at a later date.
