PELETIER, NC – This year’s running of the $10,000-to-win, $600-to-start Solid Rock Carriers 150 at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway on Saturday, August 10th is again poised to be the biggest Limited Late Model race on the East Coast.
After feedback from racers following last year’s installment of the Solid Rock Carriers 150, track owner Bob Lowery made the decision to increase the starting payout from $500 to $600. The $10,000-to-win Limited Late Model race will once again be a four-tire race and will have a halfway break – with a $1,000 bonus to the leader at halfway, sponsored by Battlefield Tire Pros and Harley Davidson of New Bern.
“We want to look out for the drivers as much as possible” Lowery said. “A lot of drivers said last year that they would like to see the race pay a little more to start, so we decided to up the starting payout to $600 to show these guys that we appreciate them making the effort to come to Carteret County Speedway and race with us.”
The second running of the Solid Rock Carriers 150 pays $10,000 to the winner, #3,000 to the runner-up, $2,000 to the third place finisher, $1,500 to fourth and $1,200 to fifth. Sixth place also pays $1,000. Positions seventh through 13th gradually scale down from $950 to $650, while positions 14 through 28 pay $600 each.
The full payout and race procedure is listed on the event entry form, which has been posted on the Carteret County Speedway website and is available here. » http://carteretspeedway.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/ccs_solidrock150_entryform_2019.pdf
