The largest event in the history of the NEMST will take place on August 3rd at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The event that was brought on board for the 2014 season will feature a 25 lap Main Event on the 1.058 Mile Oval. This will be the first event for mini stock style cars sanctioned on such a large track in the northeast.
NEMST presenting sponsors Texas Roadhouse and Twisted Tea will be on hand to offer promotional giveaways and information about their products to the teams, drivers, and fans of the series that travels among New England. “NHMS is the big dog, it was this same facility three years ago that helped boost this series in the eyes of everyone in the region with our first event on the 1.6 mile road course.” said NEMST Founder and Promoter Bob Guptill.
Teams from as far as Michigan have shown interest in competing on the NASCAR Superspeedway. It will be a fascinating experience for teams and drivers to prepare their vehicles to reach projected speeds of 135 MPH. NHMS Operations Director Tom Blanchette offered the series the date based on the newest safety regulations put in place by NEMST officials as well as the professionalism shown by all teams while running road course events over the past seasons.
With the increased speed and prestige will now come an increased payout. Wells Family Syrup, Froling Energy, and Weidner Services have come on board with the NEMST to boost the oval date up significantly. The new payout structure will be as follows:
The oval event will have a cash payout available the night of the race following the completion of technical inspection. Drivers can register their entry ahead of time to speed up the process on race day.
Technical inspection will be mandatory before any cars will hit the track. Technical inspection will be open on Saturday August 2nd for teams to get their cars inspected before the event takes place. Trailer parking will be first come first serve and teams are also encouraged to bring their cars on the 2nd for the best availability.
