Mooresville, NC: This weekend’s Food Country USA 200 will be the final opportunity for drivers to put themselves in the best possible position for the series reset of the championship standings. The reset will be staggered by the per race points system with twelve bonus points to each driver who ran all the regular season events, in addition to a single bonus point to each driver that has scored a win this season. Earlier this season JP Morgan picked up one of those bonus points at Motor Mile when the series visited the beautiful 4/10th mile facility in June, edging championship points leader Caleb Holman on a green-white-checkered restart. With both drivers having two wins a piece, this final bonus point could be crucial down the road. In addition to the two veterans a pair of youngsters in Reid Wilson and Brady Boswell would love to get their first career win and take the extra bonus point with them in the championship series. Two time series champion Benny Gordon, running a limited schedule this season, might be the guy to beat out of everyone. Gordon dominated the June race before a broken tie rod ended his sure win two laps prior to the finish.
